Technical Specifications for Delivery of Materials
1. Digital Film and Trailer Files
Highest quality digital file of Licensed Title in 16:9 or 4:3 native ratio and, trailer and/or 3-minute promotional piece.
Please deliver film and trailer files according to the following specifications:
- Frame Width: 1920
- Frame Height: 1080
- Frame Rate: 24fps to 30fps (please provide original project frame rate)
- File Format: .mp4
- Codec: H.264
- Audio Properties: 192 data-rate, sample of 44.1 - stereo
- Bitrate: 10Mbps (8GB max)
- Optimal File Size: 20GB or below
- Closed Captioning / Subtitles: Ensure English captions and/or subtitles are provided. Closed captions and/or subtitles should be delivered as separate files, even for foreign language films.
- Images: web banner (1920 x 575), poster (minimum 1000 x 1440) & thumbnail (minimum 1280 x 720)
- Tailoring: Top and tailed with 1 second of black

- Full film and trailer files in MP4 format
- Closed caption / Subtitle files (.vtt format)
- Key art (hi-res poster and thumbnail files)
- Completed metadata spreadsheet (key details)
- Press kit and study guides

2. Promotional: Press and Publicity
- Synopsis and other title metadata in digital format.
- Key Digital Image(s)
- Film poster (minimum 1000 x 1440), aspect ratio - between 0.690 and 0.70 (no larger than 2MP)
- Web banner (1920 x 575)
- Thumbnail image files (minimum 1280 x 720) – aspect ratio 16 x 9
- Completed Beamafilm metadata spreadsheet
If Available
- .vtt captions/subtitles in multiple languages
- Key art - high-resolution image stills
- Links of official film pages and primary resources e.g. cast and crew interviews to be included as resource links on our film page
- List of interest groups and supporters including website/contact details connected to the film
3. Poster Guidelines
- File Type: .png, .jpq
- Color Format: RGB
- Aspect Ratio: between 0.690 and 0.70
- File Size: less than 2MB
- Language: localised for the intended audience and storefront
- Title Text: must be legible
- Ratings and Ratings Certificates: Australian ratings are acceptable
Film Posters should not contain:
- Borders or padding. The image must bleed to the edge
- DVD or Blu-ray logos
- Call-to-action language
We do accept OV artwork (original artwork in foreign language), but we require a localised title in the metadata. That means the translated title should be provided in brackets.
