Beamafilm is at QPLA 2026; see us at Booth #6!

QPLA 2026 is officially underway, and Beamafilm is delighted to be in Queensland connecting with the public library community!

The Queensland Public Libraries Association conference opened today and runs through to Friday, bringing together library professionals, industry partners and stakeholders from across Queensland to share ideas, explore new developments and celebrate the vital role public libraries play in their communities.

If you're attending, come and say hello to the Beamafilm team at Booth #6.

We'd love the opportunity to catch up with our existing library partners, meet some new faces and hear what's happening in libraries across Queensland.

Discover what's new at Beamafilm

There’s plenty to talk about this year. Beamafilm continues to grow as an Australian-owned streaming service created with libraries in mind, bringing library members a curated collection of independent and world cinema, documentaries, Australian stories, family viewing and educational content.

At Booth #6, we're looking forward to sharing some of our latest developments and talking with librarians about making film easier to discover and access through their library's existing digital services.

It's also a great opportunity to talk to us about collections, patron engagement, streaming models and how libraries can get more value from their digital film offering.

Celebrating Queensland's public libraries

QPLA is the peak representative body for Queensland public libraries, supporting a diverse statewide network through advocacy, collaboration, professional development and opportunities for libraries to exchange knowledge and ideas.

Its vision of “a powerful network of valued, diverse and resilient public libraries for Queensland” strongly reflects the role libraries continue to play in connecting people with culture, information, education and entertainment.

We're delighted to be part of this year's event and to spend a few days with the people who make those connections happen every day.

Heading to QPLA? Drop by Booth #6 between now and Friday and say hello. We'd love to meet you! See you at QPLA!
