Beamafilm, a leading digital streaming platform for libraries, and SOLUS, a leading provider of digital access solutions and library technology, have announced a new integration that brings Beamafilm’s curated streaming content into the SOLUS Library App.

Beamafilm offers thousands of carefully selected titles spanning independent film, world cinema, acclaimed documentaries, culturally diverse stories and award-winning productions from around the world. The service lets libraries complement mainstream entertainment platforms with distinctive content chosen for its cultural, educational, and entertainment value.

“Libraries play an increasingly important role in connecting their communities with diverse cultural and educational content,” said Louise van Rooyen, Founder and Managing Director of Beamafilm. “Our partnership with SOLUS makes it easier for library members to discover independent films, world cinema and documentaries alongside the other digital resources their library provides. We’re delighted to be working together to make these stories more accessible to library communities around the world.”

Libraries using the SOLUS Library App can expand their digital offerings without added complexity, giving patrons a consistent experience for discovering library resources across devices.

“This integration is about making digital content easier to discover and easier to enjoy. We’re removing the barriers between library members and the content they love, creating a simpler, more connected experience from discovery to viewing,” said Shelbi Schollenberger, Product Manager at SOLUS.

Through the integration, Beamafilm titles can be surfaced as part of the library’s wider digital offering within the SOLUS Library App. When a member selects a title, they are connected directly to Beamafilm to watch, creating a simple path from discovery to streaming.

For libraries, the integration provides another way to bring digital resources together within their own branded library experience, strengthening their connection with members while helping them discover more of the content and services available through their library membership.

The SOLUS Library App–Beamafilm integration is available starting September 14, 2026. Existing SOLUS Library App customers can request the integration by contacting the SOLUS support team.

Beamafilm libraries interested in finding out more about the SOLUS integration can contact the Beamafilm support team, while SOLUS libraries interested in learning more about Beamafilm can visit https://beamafilm.com/librarians.
