World Space Week is held every year from 4–10 October. The fixed dates commemorate two milestones:

  • 4 October 1957 – Launch of Sputnik 1, the first human-made Earth satellite.

  • 10 October 1967 – Signing of the Outer Space Treaty, the foundation of international space law.

World Space Week is the largest annual space event on Earth, celebrated in over 90 countries with exhibitions, film screenings, talks, and educational programs 🚀

This Space Week, Beamafilm invites you to journey into the furthest reaches of the cosmos with Cosmic Mysteries — a thought-provoking documentary where five of today’s leading physicists unravel some of the most captivating questions in modern science.

From the elusive nature of dark matter and dark energy to the enigmatic cosmological constant problem, the film takes viewers deep into the puzzles that continue to confound our understanding of the universe. It also explores the peculiar state of entropy at the moment of the Big Bang, raising profound questions about the origins of time and order itself.

What makes Cosmic Mysteries especially compelling is the diversity of perspectives: each physicist brings a unique lens to the conversation, blending rigorous science with awe-inspiring wonder. The result is a film that doesn’t just share knowledge, but sparks curiosity — inviting us to see the universe not as a solved riddle, but as a living frontier of discovery.

Whether you’re a science enthusiast, a curious student, or simply captivated by the night sky, this is essential viewing for Space Week.
