Oasis Supersonic

Oasis’ music defined a generation with their unique sound. But like many other iconic bands, a meteoric rise was followed by a big fall. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher began fighting, and in 2010, the band broke up. Liam and Noel still won’t be in the same room as each other…But that didn’t stop director Mat Whitecross from getting the whole Oasis story, interviewing Liam and Noel separately. In fact, Liam told Whitecross that the interview process “…was like the therapy he never had.”

“Supersonic” explores the first three years of Oasis’ rise to fame, from nobodies to superstars. Music lovers will delight in all new archival footage of the band’s members, and will get the chance to relive Oasis’ greatest moments on the stage.

And who knows, there could be a sequel on the way. There are still thirteen more years of Oasis’ career to cover. Mat Whitecross hasn’t ruled it out.
