Before Bad Brains, the Sex Pistols or the Ramones, there was a band called Death. Three teenage brothers in the ’70s formed a band in their spare bedroom, began playing a few gigs and even pressed a single in the hopes of getting signed. Record companies found the name Death too much and when the brothers refused to change it they seemed destined for obscurity until a groundswell of interest decades later saw Death reborn.
